Painting with a broad brush, people can be separated into two groups. The first group is people who are interested in a certain result. The second is those who are committed to making it happen. The first group has a romantic curiosity or desire to accomplish a goal. "It sounds great", "That would be awesome", I "want" to do that.
The second group feels a responsibility to deliver results. They burn the boats. All in. They "will" do what it takes. No plan B.
- Group A operates from a mindset of convenience with a full tank of excuses. They want to be involved, but…
- Group B operates from a mindset of commitment and sacrifice. They show up every day and plow forward, despite how hard the ground is.
Which are you?
“But Jesus told him, ‘Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.’” (Luke 9:62)
Plowing a field is hard work. The soil is rocky, compact, cold, hard, and full of stubborn weeds, roots, and all kinds of impediments. He's not asking you to do the work that's convenient, looking around for an easy way out, an excuse, or a better option (to be a chicken). He's asking you to do the hard stuff...all in...fully committed...after all, He was.
The difference in results between those interested in achieving a desired result, and those committed to doing so, is crystal clear. Who are you choosing to be?
