Blessed Bread

About a year ago, we assembled what we call our Production Advisory Board (PAB). This is a special forces unit assembled to help guide the organization's agenda from the perspective of our sales team. Hand-selected top producers representing both the geographic and business development spectrums. They are an elite group. They have creative ideas, thoughtful feedback, top-notch work ethic, and commitment to the organization. They are what Patrick Lencioni calls ideal team players: Hungry, Humble, and Smart.

Their best trait and what I believe makes them special is that they have the heart of a teacher. Spending time with them last week, their entire focus is on how they can help the others in the organization grow. How do they share the things that they do in their business that make them successful with others? How do they create a rising tide across the company? What can they give of themselves to their teammates without asking for anything in return? It's energizing.

"he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children! (Matthew 14:19-21)

You've all heard the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. Crowds had been following Him all day, they were in a remote area, it was getting late, people were hungry and he had nothing but a couple of fish and some breadsticks. And it was more than enough. Jesus blessed the provision and then gave it to his team to do the work. The more they gave it away, the more He provided.

That's the way it is with what we have been given. Whether money, talent, love, or anything we have that could benefit others, the bigger the deployment, the bigger the provision.

God may be waiting for you to execute his next miracle.

When I watch our PAB take what they have been given and package it up to teach others, I watch their own skills improve and businesses grow. They have been given blessed bread and are feeding others with it. In return, their own blessing grows. What they pour out gets poured back in even more.

We all have blessed bread somewhere in our lives. Start handing it out to people who are hungry to be fed. It may be kindness, encouragement, a specific skill set, money, time, or love. God will work through you if you trust him and let him. God may be waiting for you to execute his next miracle. Do it faithfully and watch your baskets fill up.
