A Great Story to Tell

It touches everyone. We have all been in a battle during one season or another, and we have all been touched by someone struggling with mental health. You may be in the struggle of your life right now. If that's true, know this: you are loved...deeply. God treasures each life, even in moments of deep darkness and pain. If you or someone you know is struggling, reaching out for help is an act of strength, not shame.

September is suicide prevention month. This is a time to remember how precious the gift of life is, especially yours.

"Give all your worries and cares to God for he cares about you." (1 Peter 5:7)

At Churchill, we are partnering this month with Reboot Recovery, https://rebootrecovery.com/, an organization that brings hope and support to people recovering from trauma, walking with them as they move into a healthy mindset.

Jesus tells us that He has come that we may have life and have it to the fullest. Cast your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you deeply.

As a community called to love one another, be sure to see the people around you, especially those closest to you who are easy to miss. Love one another, engage with each other, and carry each other's burdens. Leaving others better for the encounter starts with seeing them and stepping into whatever dark night they may be facing.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am not afraid, for You, Lord, are there beside me. He may be calling you to walk alongside someone today as His representative. Give HOPE today. Help One Person Every day.

If you are finding yourself in that dark night of the soul, don't give up. If you want to get better, you need to be honest. Courageously ask for help. Don't fight the Devil in the dark. You are not alone. You have a great story still to tell.
